After this year's wondrous Self Love Retreat in Mexico, we were certain (even before we flew home!) that we'd be returning in 2025...
We are once again heading to Sian Ka'an, an exceptional and utterly unique UNESCO biosphere reserve, located on the east coast of the Yucatán peninsula, Mexico. This ecological reserve and UNESCO World Heritage Site lies along Mexico’s stunning Riviera Maya, just 12 Km South of vibrant Tulum. It contains tropical forests, mangroves, marshes, as well as a large marine section intersected by a barrier reef.
Our magical retreat home for the week, Casa Maya Kaan, is a private sanctuary on one of the most beautiful white-sand coves facing the spectacular emerald lagoon. It's exclusive luxury within a superb wilderness sanctuary.
Guests will enjoy sunrise yoga practices led by Steffy, yin yoga evenings, daily chanting and meditations, sound healing, body/breath work, a private boat tour through the floating mangroves of the emerald lagoon, a Temazcal sweat lodge, a Mayan clay workshop, ice baths, incredible snorkelling along one of the world's biggest reefs and nutritious and vibrant plant based meals.

What does a day on our retreat look like?
07:30 - 08:00 - Sunrise chanting / meditation
08:00 - 10:00 - Morning yoga practice
10:00 - Delicious plant based brunch
11:30 - Free time / opportunity for treatments / explore / enjoy the beach (on one of the days we've organised a private boat tour)
14:30 - Snack
17:30 - 19:00 - Evening yin yoga / sound journey
19:30 - Dinner (on one evening we've organised a Temazcal sweat lodge)
Accommodation, pricing and bookings...
Main House - Elegant twin rooms with two double beds, desk, lounging area and terrace. You'll share with one other person and also share a bathroom with another room. £3300pp
Our stunning retreat space boasts three fabulous sharing suites and a fourth deluxe 'couples' en-suite with separate entrance and terrace. There are also 4 glam bell tents, each 5 metres wide and equipped with either 1 queen-size sprung mattress (if you'd like one to yourself) or 2 queen mattresses (if you'd prefer to share with someone else). The Bell tents have crisp white sheets, blankets, decorative pillows, electricity sockets and ample space. Finally we have 6 gorgeous Safari tents, also for sharing or as a private. They have everything the bells tents AND some extra space.
A non-refundable deposit of half the total amount is due to book and the 2nd half is due by the 30th November 2024. Refunds on the 2nd half are possible up to 8 weeks before the retreat starts (26th December 2024).
Check in is from 5pm on the 20th of February and check out is at 11am on the 27th of February. See below for more info on travel / transfers.

Main House Deluxe Suite (for a couple or 2 friends sharing a King bed) - Super sized bedroom with King sized bed, sofa area, large ensuite bathroom with couples bathtub & outdoor terrace.

Safari Tent - These spacious Safari tents can be set up as privates or for sharing. They are more spacious than the Bell tents below and have access to a communal bathroom.

Bell Tent - Bell tents can be configured either as a sharing room with two queen beds or a private room with one queen. They have access to a communal bathroom.

Is this retreat right for me?
Whether you’re at the beginning of your yoga journey or a seasoned practitioner, Steffy teaches in a style which allows you to get what you need from your practice. All that's required is that you're familiar with sun salutations and a vinyasa based practice. Steffy will offer variations and modifications and that's one of the most beauitful things about the energy of these retreats. We all practice together, everyone is welcome and we'll all be challenged and loved along the way. The vast majority of our retreat yogis travel alone, but we’ve also had many couples and various family member combinations. We often have guests who have met on prior retreats and come back together for another one as friends. Come and join us!

Travel Information
We want to make your journey to and from the retreat venue as easy as possible. Here's some info which you might find helpful.
Flights
Most people will be flying into Cancun International Airport. If you're flying from the UK there is a direct flight on 20/02/25 from London Gatwick (BA 2203) which leaves at 10:50 and arrives into Cancun at 16:55. The return flight (BA2202) leaves Cancun at 18:40 on 27/02/25 and arrives back into London Gatwick on the 28th at 09:00. This flight is currently around £550 return.
Transfers
Transfers are included for everyone on the above scheduled flight and/or guests who can be at Cancun airport for 17:00 on 20/02/25. We will do the same for all guests heading back to Cancun airport on the morning of 27/02/25. If you're flying from elsewhere and/or can't realistically be at Cancun at that time then please get in touch with us and we'll do our best to help co-ordinate a transfer for you.
Visas
We strongly encourage you to check Mexico's visa requirements, depending on your nationality. If you have a British passport or are from an EU country, you do not need a visa to travel to Mexico. Please be aware that if you fly indirectly to Cancun airport via the USA you will need an in date ESTA.
