Norfolk retreat

The ART of letting go

7-10th of April 2017

West Lexham

For those of you who know me, you will know how excited this retreat makes me.  I am over the moon to have secured a beautiful venue for this special long weekend retreat in the English countryside with an incredible team of healers and artists to join us and share their magic.  I am all about playing, trying something new and colouring outside the lines.  For me yoga has been a form of expression and a road to a deep connection.  I have always loved art and creating things, I like to think of myself as an artist, I believe we all are.  I really feel that by using music, sound vibration, drawing, yoga, cooking, chanting we are able to connect to something beyond the limits of our skin.  Art lets us create something that wasn’t there before or perhaps lets us express a part of ourselves that has yet to be seen.  I think that making something is pure therapy.  Whether it be the food that you are eating, a sketch, a sound, a yoga pose, poetry, it is all art, it is all creation, it is all healing, it is all good for the soul.   We are going to be diving into a deep, and freeing yoga practice, yang in the mornings, yin in the evenings, all taught by me.  Aiming to marinade in the juice and allow ourselves the space to let go of whatever has been weighing us down so that we can leave the retreat inspired and rejuvenated with a renewed sense of wonder.

West Lexham is set in 21 acres of stunning gardens, it is the perfect rural escape and venue for our spring

2017 retreat, just 2 hours from London, 75 minutes from Cambridge and 45 minutes from Norwich. It is a work of passion and is crafted out of the heritage building that are the legacy of over 1000 years of farming and stewardship of nature. Set in a protected valley with the UK’s cleanest chalk stream it is verdant and bursting with nature. There are floating water meadows, ancient trees, lakes and formal gardens for you to explore. West Lexham are 90% run on renewables with solar panels for power and a woodchip boiler for heat. All water is fresh from the chalk aquifer making it rich in minerals and taste delicious.

Luxury en-suite rooms combine rustic charm with funky modern twists. Many original features have been maintained and the materials used – wood, stone, clay – as well as the art decorating the walls reflect the myriad of nature that surrounds the buildings. Each bedroom has its own entrance for extra privacy. They sit around a courtyard together with the Barn, amongst herbaceous boarders and mosaic paths. Our underfloor heating and walk-in showers land you in the lap of luxury.
